Patients Over Profits Pledge!

WA State’s Medicaid isn’t just run by the state, but also through companies. 4/5 are for-profit companies. Every dollar that should go straight into healthcare is interfered with by middlemen, granting our tax dollars to greedy shareholders who have been accused of using AI to deny people’s claims (1). Granted, this isn’t directly onto Washington’s Medicaid, but the fact is that this is the reality we could face. And that is a hard NO from me. As I said, I want to work on cures, not band-aid fixes.
